Muscle Works Carbo-Maize Hardcore

Carbomaize Hardcore is glycogen (muscle energy) loading at its best. Used intra and post workout this product will increase muscle hypertrophy and muscle cell volumisation whilst maintaining the 'anabolic drive' needed to force creatine and other nutrients contained in Carbomaize Hardcore into the muscles where they are needed most. Carbomaize Hardcore contains waxy maize starch which is a long chain glucose polymer that has a molecular weight 100 times more than maldodextrin and 3000 times more than dextrose.

1. Lowers the osmoticity of the product
When nutrition of high osmoticity is ingested, large amounts of water will transfer to the stomach and intestines. Large amounts of water in the gastrointestinal tract can cause distention, cramps, nausea and vomiting. Waxy maize starch lowers the osmoticity of this product considerably more than if the solution contained only maltodextrin or dextrose and helps keep the osmoticity of this product around the same level as that of the body fluids surrounding it (isotonic), thus removing water out the stomach and into the cells.

2. Faster glycogen replenishment
The waxy maize starch element in Carbomaize Hardcore restores muscular glycogen (muscle energy) 70% faster than simple sugars, providing quicker refuelling during training and quicker recovery times after training.

3. Faster nutrient delivery
Waxy maize passes through the stomach 80% faster than dextrose or maltodextrin alone, and because of this acts as a pump pulling in nutrients like creatine, electrolytes and amino acids with it into the cells. The overall result being, greater muscle cell volumisation, protein synthesis and enhanced muscle growth.
